So life has been a bit hectic over the last few weeks! To the point I’ve not managed to blog a few of the draft posts I’ve half written!
We were all going a bit crazy, with the quarantine forced upon us since the first spot was spotted last Friday. So I had to get them out of the house. I chose somewhere that was a big open space, but was dry, with little to no contact with other children or vulnerable general public. So we headed to an out of town retail park and a huge primark!
Chicken pox kid who looks really quite unfortunate covered in scabs, that sadly are mainly on his face, was under strict instructions to stay next to the buggy.
With the supposedly ill chicken pox kid bouncing around like tigger, we navigated our way around Primarni avoiding anyone. Partly so I didn’t have to see any disapproving stares!
We, but I actually mean I, managed to find plenty of fab items for our summer wardrobes. I’d get out of the car to show you my bags of goodies, but I don’t want to wake the kids. As I’m rather enjoying my mini snooze time and the brief calm.
It’s actually chicken pox kids birthday on Friday and his party on Saturday. Plans are still going ahead, as he should be fully scabbed over by then and able to eat again. Unfortunately he has blisters on his tongue and down his throat. So he’s been on a diet of icecream for a few days as it was hurting him to eat anything else. So the next two days I’ll be trying to get him eating properly and some decent calories into his little spotty body. By the end of the weekend he should be back to normal.
Then we’ll be on spot watch with the toddler, who is already a mardy bum, struggling with his teeth coming through!
I’m just hoping the good weather returns, so we can at least get out of the house & play in the garden.
Oooh, one of them is waking…….
